KnuckleBonz Announces New Iron Maiden “Piece of Mind” Ltd. Edition Statue

Excited to share first images of the new KnuckleBonz Iron Maiden Piece of Mind Ltd. Edition Statue. This is the 2nd Iron Maiden statue for the 3D Vinyl® Collector Series. Iron Maiden Number of the Beast 3D Vinyl launched earlier this year.

The Iron Maiden Piece of Mind Ltd. Edition Statue design in very unique in that it is almost a diorama type of set up. Have not created anything like in the almost 20 years of KnuckleBonz. The amazing original Piece of Mind album art by Derek Riggs dictated this approach. We are all very excited about the result here at the KnuckleBonz Studio.

The statue is also one of the largest we have ever created with dimension coming at 10 Inches wide X 10 Inches tall X 7 inches deep. The shipping weight is approximately 8Lbs.

Not more of 1983 of this statue will be hand cast and numbered for Iron Maiden Superfans worldwide.

Estimated ship date is early 2023.

Iron Maiden Piece of Mind Anniversary…

Iron Maiden’s Piece of Mind Album Anniversary fell this past Sunday. It was release on May 16th, 1983. This was a great record with many tracks that are still included in nay Iron Maiden live set today. It’s also the first record to feature new drummer Nicko McBrain. Also notable is the title which does not come directly from a song title on the record. In fact, Iron Maiden’s perhaps most notable version of Eddie spawns from this album. The single cover for “The Trooper” is one of the most celebrated images in music.

Iron Maiden Piece of Mind is certified Platinum in both the UK and North America.

Piece of Mind is sandwiched between another (2) heavy metal classic albums, as The Number of the Beast released in 1982, and Powerslave dropped to us in 1984…not a bad 3-year run for Iron Maiden, ehh?

Production Update March 2023 – Many Products Have Landed !

KnuckleBonz® March2023 – PRODUCTION UPDATE

These are the updates we really like to give as there’s a ton of good news with multiple products arriving at our USA KnuckleBonz warehouse faculty next week. Here’s the full scoop.

The following products have cleared US customs and are arriving at our warehouse next week. After check in, they will begin shipping to all you Pre-Order Superfans. You have top priority. You will be receiving email about your order status in a couple of weeks.

Note: For Death and GNR, production is still up and running creating additonal statues. 1st wave of production statues will be set up to ship in the next couple of weeks.  However, those products have been super hot in pre-sale, so some orders will need to be filled in the 2nd wave of production. As always, orders are filled in the order they were received. You will be receiving email about your pre-order status in a couple of weeks.

These have the band in their Black/White costumes as the Sheer Heart Attack album is hitting US airwaves and they are on their first headlining USD tour. Stay tuned for that Pre-Sale Launch.

*A New Randy Rhoads KnuckleBonz Rock Iconz design has been approved by the Randy Rhoads Estate and is in pre-production for a late Summer release. This design captures Randy in the early part of his career when he owned the Sunset Strip, just ahead of his years with Ozzy. Think bow-tie and Polka-Dot Vest…

*Cheech and Chong Collectible Statues are in design featuring the comedy duo from the iconic Shred Session in Cheech and Chong’s Next Movie. A new Cheech and Chong beer is coming soon as well…The Lo-Rah-Duh is a real goer!!!

*KISS Destroyer Era KnuckleBonz Rock Iconz Statue designs for Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter are in sculpting and will roll-out later this Spring. Probably a Fall ship date for this new KISS Set from KnuckleBonz.

Iron Maiden “Killers” Album – 42 Years Since Paul Di’Anno

42 years ago today in the UK, Iron Maiden released KILLERS, there studio 2nd  album. This was the last recording with Paul Di’Anno and the first with guitarist Adrianne Smith. All Maiden albums are instant classics but this hold a special place for us here at KnuckleBonz for a couple of reasons. The first being, it has one of our all time Iron Maiden tracks WRATHCHILD ! The 2nd and most enduring reason, is the cover art by Derek Riggs sees Eddie take on the form that we know him today. The original cover for the debut album was created by the very same Derek Riggs before Maiden had come onto the scene, so it was only natural that he would reimagine him for KILLERS. There’s a cool art book out for all the Iron Maiden cover art called Run for Cover: The Art of Derek Riggs, do check that out.

KnuckleBonz® has created (2) Ltd. Edition Statues for our 3D Vinyl® for Iron Maiden Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind. Number of the Beast is shipping now. Piece of Mind just wrapped production and is on the way to our US warehouse to ship to pre-order Iron Maiden Superfans. Next up for us in our officially licensed work with Iron Maiden will be our take on KILLERS for a 3D statue design. Sculpting start next month for  Fall 2023 release. Stay Tuned here for updates.

Favorite Iron Maiden Album Cover? Maybe Not an Album Cover at All…

Iron Maiden fans have had their own community and fervor for the band since the early days in the UK before they were recording and touring. That commitment only grew when they began to release studio albums and we got our first glimpse of Eddie the Head. Since that time, every true Iron Maiden fan has a favorite album cover and can remember where they 1st saw the art, bought the record, and dropped the needle. The interesting thing here is two of Iron Maiden’s most popular versions of Eddie, and favs here at KnuckleBonz®, where not album covers at all…they were covers on singles.   “The Trooper” off Iron Maiden Piece of Mind 1983 and “Aces High” from Powerslave 1994 were released first as sleeves on these amazing single tracks, back when there where singles on Vinyl. We must admit, we never really bought singles so the first time we saw these iconic images was in the press and on tour merch going to the shows…so much to enjoy from Edward the Great and Iron Maiden. Drop the needle today!

Rock Iconz at Powertrip in California Oct 2023 – Live AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden and More

New fall festival for 2023 announced today that will feature the absolute top tier of rock arena headliners. October 6 thru 8 will see the mighty AC/DC return to the stage with what we hope will be a lineup featuring Brian Johnson on vocals and Phil F#ckn’ Rudd of the drums. Other headliners will be Ozzy Osbourne. Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica and TOOL. Quite a value if you are up for the long weekend.

The venue is the Empire Polo Club in Indio California. Go past Palm Springs, CA on the 10 and you can’t miss it. Tickets are reported to go on-sale April 6th. Check you favorite authorized ticket dealer for sales. Don’t get fooled by scams sites…there are many out there looking to fleece us Superfans trying to score the best tickets.

We currently have many collectibles for Metallica, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Ozzy and Guns N’ Roses. The only missing band in the KnuckleBonz lineup is Tool. We worked with a Perfect Circle a few years back, will have do do something with TOOL in the future. Should off if you would dig that…

Where’s My Favorite Band for Rock Iconz or 3D Vinyl?

Where’s My Favorite Band for Rock Iconz® or 3D Vinyl®?

KnuckleBonz is coming to the end of the company’s 17th year bringing music Superfans the only collectible series focused on music, that would be our Rock Iconz and 3D Vinyl collector series. Oh yes, lets’s not forget the newest limited editions for the On Tour® Series. Over the years, we have constantly listened to music fans feedback surrounding what artists they would like to see KnuckleBonz create next. Perhaps the most asked question from superfans is, “when are you going to make “…INSERT ARTISTS HERE…?” Fans will sometime take personally or as a “diss” if certain artists or bands have yet to appear as Rock Iconz or in 3D Vinyl. What we try to remind everyone is that KnuckleBonz ONLY creates officially licensed products.

Before we can lift the first sculpting tool or paint brush to create something as a limited edition collectible, about a dozen things have to happen. We must first all agree here at KnuckleBonz the an artist is right for our series. Some really great artists with lots of hit records may never come to Rock Iconz. The artists needs to have a certain visual appeal to be a fit for what we do. The bands also must agree for a KnuckleBonz design and approve every last detail.

Some artist for whatever reason simply are not interested in a limited edition piece of collectible art at a particular time. We of course understand and may check in again with that artist a year or two down the road. Sometimes the answer is yes. Jimmy Page was not into doing anything in our area for 5 years before we first began to work with him.

If all these planets align, we must then deal with business terms. This is sometimes directly with the artist or with small management companies or even the really big death stars like Universal Music, Sony or Live Nation ect. No small task for either side. As much as we want to ignore it, KnuckleBonz is a business like any other and must be profitable to keep moving forward.

So as you can see there are many things that can trip us up on the way to the next KnuckleBonz Limited Edition. So, if your favorite band or artist has not appeared as a Rock Iconz, there’s a good reason for it. All we can say is hang in there. KnuckleBonz is not going anywhere and we will make it happen for you at some point.
