Number of the Beast Anniversary - The 2nd coming of Iron Maiden's Eddie

on

In 1982, after the moderate success of their debut album "Killers," Iron Maiden took a big chance, hiring a new singer and frontman, Bruce Dickinson. Uhh, things worked out pretty well for Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Clive Burr and Dickinson as Iron Maiden "Number of the Beast" cracked the Top 10 UK charts and got global radio play with the single "Run to the Hills."

This was the 2nd time Eddie, Iron Maiden's mascot, was summoned to grace an album cover, and it remains one of the most enduring images for the band. The exaggerated perspective of Eddie and muted colors of the sky are set off by the fantastic flames that dance around Eddie and the scarlet devil at his feat.

It's just a matter of time before KnuckleBonz and the Iron Maiden camp get together...hang in there Superfans.
