40th Anniversary Diary of a Madman - 3D Vinyl at It's Best

on

Yesterday marked the 40th Anniversary of the release of Ozzy Osbourne's 2nd studio album Diary of a Madman. Ozzy was in full slight as a solo artist at this time on the strength and performances surrounding the solo debut record, Blizzard of Ozz. This was also the high point for the great Randy Rhoads as a recording artist. More time in the studio allowed Randy to truly explore his brilliance. The record also has Lee Kerslake, formally of Uriah Heap, on drums. Although, the touring duties and recording going forward was to be handled by Tommy Aldridge of Black Oak Arkansas fame. If you never got to see Tommy on his double bass in a live set, you really missed something special.

We created Blizzard of OZZ for our 3D Vinyl® Statue series and it remains on the the finest examples of what this collectible category can be. Pictured here is a live shot from the KnuckleBonz studio. Only 1981 have been hand cast and detailed for Ozzy Osbourne Superfans worldwide. You can order this Limited Edition Here.

Also, check out our Randy Rhoads Rock Iconz® Lid. Edition statue that is now shipping. This design is from the touring of the earlier album Blizzard of Ozz. Randy stands about 8.5 inches tall in this limited edition sculpt. Order Here
