Pink Floyd Exhibition “Their Mortal Remains” Los Angeles Delayed

Pink Floyd Exhibition “Their Mortal Remains“ Los Angeles was set to open next week at the Vogue Multicultural Museum in Los Angeles. However, like all of us that need to move things Internationally, they have been met with shipping delays. The new opening date is Sepmeber 3rd. We hope to see some of you Floydians there.

There will be lots of great gear and other museum displays to capture Pink Floyd from their origins in the Syd Barrett era all the way thru their last tour Division Bell. We are particularly are excited to see some of Nick Mason’s early drum kits and the art of the amazing Gerald Scarfe. Scarfe is the illustrator/cartoonist that was the visual fuel for Pink Floyd the Wall album art and motion picture animation.

ACDC Hell’s Bell – 2nd Production Wave

Our AC/DC Hell’s Bell Rock Iconz Collectible Statue On Tour sold through the 1st production quicklly and we’ve been hard at work on the 2nd wave ot this 3000 piece limited edtion. Production is qrapping up and we are going through QA now. Here’s a shot from the production floor of the color package.

The “Hell’s Bell” first graced the AC/DC live stage in support of the “Back in Black” world tour in 1980. This was the band’s 7th studio album and the 1st with new frontman Brian Johnson. For anyone associated with that tour, it quickly became clear that this was not just another stage prop. It was, in fact, a 1300kgs bronze colossus fitted into a custom road case. This bell was special, as it was not only an amazing sight during live performances, but it was the very same that rang out (13) times on the “Hells Bells” track on the album.

We’ve have alot going on with AC/DC at the moment and will be adding more in 2021. The ACDC For “Those About to Rock” Stage Cannon Collectible is on back order and can be reserved here. Favorite Iron Maiden Album Cover? Maybe Not an Album Cover at All…

Iron Maiden fans have had their own community and fervor for the band since the early days in the UK before they were recording and touring. That commitment only grew when they began to release studio albums and we got our first glimpse of Eddie the Head. Since that time, every true Iron Maiden fan has a favorite album cover and can remember where they 1st saw the art, bought the record, and dropped the needle. The interesting thing here is two of Iron Maiden’s most popular versions of Eddie, and favs here at KnuckleBonz®, where not album covers at all…they were covers on singles.   “The Trooper” off Iron Maiden Piece of Mind 1983 and “Aces High” from Powerslave 1994 were released first as sleeves on these amazing single tracks, back when there where singles on Vinyl. We must admit, we never really bought singles so the first time we saw these iconic images was in the press and on tour merch going to the shows…so much to enjoy from Edward the Great and Iron Maiden. Excited to share that we have extended our licensing agreement with Pink Floyd and Perryscope through 2023. We have only scratched the service with the band and all the great concept art from all the Floyd eras, early Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett all the way through Division Bell and beyond.

We have been work on (3) new Floyd designs and are in a 2nd wave pf production for the Pink Floyd Pig that is on back order. Algie will fly again later this year.

The MISFITS – The Rare band we all agree on..

From the advent of the music industry, the bands we listen to and revere  defined us in our formative years. We paired off into groups that gravitated to musical genres. Pop music always had the largest following with fans that may or may not be passionate. As you descend into other genres, fandom becomes more intense and vital to who you were, and are. Punk and Metal would most often square off and choose sides with an occasional cross over. However, there are a few bands that transcend musical genres, and even pop culture. Such is the case with The Misfits. From humble beginnings in Lodi NJ, Jerry Only and all the various lineups have had something for all. From original singer Glen Danzig, thru the more metal releases with Michale Graves, the following of the band has been among the most loyal in music. The formation of The Misfits established the Horror/Core/Punks, but heavy metal too really dug things right off. Cliff Burton of Metallica flew the Misfits flag on-stage with the  Fiend skull tee-shirt on stage at Day at The Green, Oakland 1985. His arm was also tatted with The Fiend. With the flick of the wrist the band can re-unite today and sell out arenas anywhere in the world. They are a rarity…something all camps enjoy and agree on as cool and important.

Yesterday marked the anniversary of the 1st Full length Misfits album release, “Walk Among Us.” Album “American Psycho” and the “Dig Up Here Bones” track is still a fav here at KnuckleBonz. Relive or discover some Misfits today…

We followed up with  Hotter Than Hell and KISS Alive sets which are in their final days. We have a few units left before these go into the KnuckleBonz Vault, never to return. Our follow up productions were  “KISS Debut” album and KISS “Destroyer” 3D Vinyl Limited Edition statues. Those production too will close out soon and make the trip to “SOLD OUTville.”
