Pink Floyd Division Bell – New Music for the Last Time – March 28th, 1994

On this day on 1994, Pink Floyd released Division Bell. This was the 14th Studio Album for the band and the 1st to be recorded without a shroud of legal issues stemming from the exit of Roger Waters.  The album was co-produced by David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin. There we reportedly (65) pieces of music the band had improvised that were whittled down to become the 58:47 minute LP running time. Rick Wright would receive song credits for the first time since Wish You Were Here in 1975.

The world tour for Division Bell was the most elaborate in the storied history of Pink Floyd. It would see “Mr. Screen” tower behind and over the band during the show like an alien space craft. An articulated Mirror Ball hovered over stadiums around the world and would morph into a flower as the band closed the show with Shine On You Crazy Diamond. An amazing site we were fortunate to see at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC. You can experience this tour in the amazing “Pulse” video. That’s worth a re-visit for any true Floydian.

Maybe we should have, but little did we know, this would be the last world tour for Pink Floyd…the Ringing of the Division Bell had begun.

KnuckleBonz is celebrating the Division Bell with our Limited Edition Statue for our On Tour Series. This hand-cast and detailed statue is officially licensed with Pink Floyd and ships with a hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity on the statue base. Order Your Here…

Rock Iconz – Black Sabbath on the Rock Walk of Fame

On this day in 1992 Black Sabbath was inducted in the the Rock Walk of Fame in Hollywood, CA. Unlike the other walk of fame in Tinsletown, this is reserved for all our rock music heroes.

Our Rock Iconz Statue Series has been fortunate enough to work with Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi on limited edition designs.

Tony’s statue is from the Black Sabbath era circa 1972 with him in one of the flowing silk tops. This was before going to the signature black stage wear. That Rock Iconz is in stock. Ships today, order here.

Ozzy’s Rock Iconz designs have been more from his solo era. Those designs are long since SOLD OUT, but we do have Ozzy Osbourne Diary of a Madman and Bark at the Moon 3D Vinyl is limited supply. Don’t miss out, once the are SOLD OUT, they are gone forever. We have never rereleased any SOL OUT design in the history of KnuckleBonz. Order Here

We still hold out hope to create a set for the band adding Geezer Butler and Bill Ward. But, as you know, licensing for bands that are no longer performing together can be a challenge. KnuckleBonz only created officially licensed work.

Nick Mason Opens Pink Floyd: Their Mortal Remains Exhibition in LA

Nick Mason Opens Pink Floyd: Their Mortal Remains Exhibition in LA.

Hollywood Boulevard was alight Sept 2nd as Pink Floyd founding member, drummer Nick Mason, cut the ribbon to open the the “Their Mortal Remains” Exhibition. Even Floyd Superfans might forget that Nick Mason is actually the only member of Pink Floyd to appear on every recording and play every Pink Floyd show since the bands 1st days with Syd Barrett.

Over (350 Pink) Floyd artifacts are on display the at the Vogue Multicultural Museum in Los Angeles thru Jan 9th 2022. We were lucky enough to be invited to the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony. Here’s some pictures of some of the items that have inspired KnuckleBonz® work with Pink Floyd…The Pink Floyd Pig “Algie” floats above the exhibition opening crowd. The original pick was flown above the Battersea Power Station in the UK. The Pig broke lose of the tether and floats over the UK disrupting air traffic and landing in a farmers field in Kent. Our Rock Iconz® On Tour™ Pink Floyd Pig Collectible is on back order here…reserve your now. Only 1977 are being cast for Pink Floyd Superfans worldwide.

Pink Floyd Division Bell Stage Mock Up was on display. This is cool as you can see “Mr. Screen” in the center of the concert rigging. Note the light banks that line the stage. This was the inspiration for the statue base design of our On Tour Limited Edition Collectible for the Division Bell Pink Floyd Screen Collectible. Production has wrapped on this design and is on the way to our US warehouse. Reserve yours here with a pre-order. Limited to 1994 worldwide.

Pink Floyd “Time” short film animation cell created by Ian Emes was on full display. Notice the square aspect ratio of this production animation cell. It’s squared versus the typical landscape format. This was because this animation was bound for the 1st use of the Pink Floyd circular projection screen on the 1972 Pink Floyd “Dark Side of the Moon” world tour. Life would never be the same for David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright after this…

Pink Floyd – The Story of Wish You Were Here

This will not be a news flash for Pink Floydians, but I have been surprised recently in conversations of the number of people who are not aware of a really great documentary of the making of Pink Floyd “Wish You Were Here.” If there has ever been pressure on a band to follow up after breakthrough commercial success in music, this is it. If you recall, Wish You Were Here was the follow up album to Dark Side of the Moon, need we say more.

The (59) minute film was released in 2012 and has interviews with all four Pink Floyd members, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason. There is a a focus on specifics for all the tracks like Have a Cigar and Welcome to the Machine, but there is also a large section on how the record was inspired by co-founder Syd Barrett. The band gives candid insight on the relationship each member had with him. We were struck by the sincere sadness you could see from Roger Waters and David Gilmour about the loss of this great talent and great friend.

Also,  there are awesome interviews with the visual side of Pink Floyd in cartoonist Gerald Scarfe and designer Storm Thorgerson. They are both heroes to us here at KnuckleBonz.

The Story of Wish You Were Here It is easily streamed on a number of video services. We caught it this weekend on the music streaming service Qello.

We have lots in the works with Pink Floyd now in all 3 of our collector series, Rock Iconz®, 3D Vinyl® and On Tour ™. Check that out here.

Our ACDC Hell’s Bell Rock Iconz On Tour Collectible – Great live shot of Frontman Brian Johnson

Here’s a great sht of Brian Johnson with AC/DC on his first tour with the band rining the Hell’s Bell. The inset live photo of the Hell’s Bell is very close to what we created for the Rock Iconz® On Tour Limited Edition Series. As you might know, there have been many versions of the Hell’s Bell since it first rang out over the AC/DC stage in 1980. The 1st to go out on tour was so heavy that actually broke through the stage at the Nausaau Colleseum while the band was loading in for that show.  It was hand cast in bronze at the Bellfounders in Loughborough in the UK. It actually weighed in at about 2000 pounds. It was clear right away the Hell’s Bell was not just another stage prop.

The AC/DC Hell’s Rock Iconz Hell’s Bell On Tour Ltd. Edition Statue is on back order and finishing the 2nd wave of production now. Reserve your here.

Also finishing production is our AC/DC Rock Iconz Limited Edition Statue of Angus Young and Brian Johnson. Pre-Order yours here.

We also are finishing a 2nd wave of production on the AC/DC For “Those About to Rock” Cannon for the On Tour Series. Reseve the ACDC Cannon here.
