Production Updates – KnuckleBonz Rock Iconz and 3D Vinyl January 2023

KnuckleBonz® January 2023 – PRODUCTION UPDATE

Here’s a quick update on the all the KnuckleBonz productions as of this AM here from our SF Bay Area studios. Many products wrapped production  this week and new 2023 projects are gearing up. Here’s the full scoop.

Iron Maiden Piece of Mind 3D Vinyl® Ltd. Edition Statue – Production is wrapped and Maiden Piece of Mind is in route to out USA warehouse to go out to pre-orders. Inventory is limited so get in the pre-order queue to have any chance at this 3D Vinyl Limited Edition Statue. Up the Irons !!!

John Lennon Rock Iconz®  Ltd. Edition Statue  – John Lennon production completed this week and is on the way to our US warehouse. Stay tuned here for specific updates on pre-order shipping. ship date. You can still pre-order here.

KnuckleBonz Black Sabbath Rock Iconz Statue Set – Production has been flowing well and we are beginning final painting and detailing on Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward Rock Iconz Statues. DEATH Chuck Schuldiner Rock Iconz Ltd. Edition Statue – Chuck Schuldiner’s production was done side by side with Scream Bloody Gore and has also wrapped production. All looks good for a Spring 2023 ship date to pre-orders.

Guns N’ Roses Rock Iconz Ltd. Edition Statues – Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagen rolled right along and actually wrapped a little early. All looks good for a Spring 2023 ship date to pre-orders. Pre-Order Guns N’ Roses here to have any chance at this amazing 3D Vinyl design.

Behind the scenes “2023 Sneak Peaks” from KnuckleBonz:

*AC/DC will be coming to the KnuckleBonz 3D Vinyl Series with Powerage. New Angus Young and Malcolm Young Rock Iconz designs are being finished and will go to the band for approval soon.

*A New Randy Rhoads KnuckleBonz Rock Iconz design has been approved by the Randy Rhoads Estate and is in pre-production for a late Summer release. This design captures Randy in the early part of his career when he owned the Sunset Strip, just ahead of his years with Ozzy. Think bow-tie and Polka-Dot Vest…

*Cheech and Chong Collectible Statues are in design featuring the comedy duo from the iconic Shred Session in Cheech and Chong’s next movie.

*KISS Destroyer Era KnuckleBonz Rock Iconz Statue designs for Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter are in sculpting and will roll-out later this Spring. Probably a Fall ship date for this new KISS Set from KnuckleBonz.

The KnuckleBonz Vault that holds RARE and SOLD out items from the 19 year history is opening next week just in time for the holidays. The Making of KISS Alive ! – 47 Years Ago

47 years ago on May 16th – KISS headlined Detroit’s Cobo Hall for the 1st time. A sellout crowd of 12,000 future KISStorians were treated to one of 72 dates on the Dressed To Kill tour. It was also the first of (5) shows that KISS recorded for what would become one of the greatest live albums ever, KISS ALIVE!

Rock photographer Fin Costello’s famous photo shoot also happened during this period that would be the source of the front cover and back covers of KISS Alive! Fin was a major contributor to Circus Magazine and other rock monthly mags if you recall.

Paul Stanley comments on the Cobo show and Detroit:

“This concert and the release of “Alive!” marked a pivotal giant step towards achieving domination in the 70’s. “Detroit Rock City” was written as a salute to the people who championed us as a headliner when others still saw us as an opening act. We can never forget them. We decided, that was the only place we would start the Reunion Tour.”

PRODUCTS CURRENTLY IN PRODUCTION: Here’s an update on the announced products currently in production.

*  Misfits Earth A.D. 3D Vinyl® – Production is in final stages and currently on schedule for the announced early 2022 ship date.

*  Pink Floyd Division Bell On Tour™ – Production is in final stages and currently on schedule for the announced early 2022 ship date.

* Candlemass Epicus Domicus Metallicus 3D Vinyl®– Production is on schedule for the announced Spring 2022 ship date.

* Pantera Reinventing the Steel Rock Iconz® – Production just kicked off on the heals on the launch. Initial casting is going well and all looks good for a late spring ship date 2022.

BACK-ORDERS:  The following products are on back order and have completed production. The latest update on shipping has an estimated arrival date to our warehouse in early to mid-December. It is scheduled to hit the US ports in mid to late November and then have to get through customs and trucking to set up at our US warehouse. Because we can’t ensure how long these could be held up at the ports or in customs, we would not be able to guarantee these products will be available to ship for the holidays. We will give any new updates as we receive them from the shipping companies.

Hard to imagine that KISS Destroyer Album has turned 45 years old this year. The Ken Kelly album art along with what is considered to be the best studio effort of the original KISS lineup of Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss.

42 Years of KISS Dynasty

Yesterday marked 42 years since the release of the KISS Dynasty record. While it not apparent to the KISS Army at the time, the original KISS lineup was only a short time away from it’s end. Peter Criss did not actually play on the album due to a combination of injuries to his hands from car accident and struggles with substance abuse. Anton Fig was called in to keep time as he had already worked with Ace on some of his solo efforts. The album did have radio success with “I Was Made for Lovin You“. It actually peaked at #11 on the US Billboard charts. But, perhaps the most lasting part of the Dynasty era are the amazing costumed. They were more elaborate than ever with Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter dawning capes with signature colors for each member. The KISS predominantly black and silver schemes were replaced by Red for The Demon, Hot Pink for The Starchild, Blue for SpaceAce and Green for The Catman. The photos and videos from this era are amazing.

KnuckleBonz has expended our license with KISS through 2023 with the band and we are hard at work on a new set of Rock Iconz.

  • KISS Debut Album 3D Vinyl (The band from that famous black cover and the glowing makeup.
  • KISS Destroyer 3D Vinyl – The most aggressive 3D Vinyl design to date sculpting all 4 characters in the illustrative style of Ken Kelly’s famous cover painting.
  • KISS ON Tour Road Case and Logo Stage Sign – The distressed Road case hold a banner from the Alive photo shoot by Fin Costello and the lighted sign used by the band thru the Alive era.
  • KISS Rock Iconz 2021 – #staytuned
