Ozzy Osbourne Forced to Finally Stop Touring – A Day We Thought Would Never Come…

Woke up this AM to a heart felt note from the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne on his official Instagram account to learn that he has had to cancel his upcoming UK/European tour because of health reasons. He emphasized his voice is doing great, he’s just not able to take on the rigors and travel of a multi-city tour. A day all Black Sabbath and Ozzy fans thought would never come. Any true Ozzy fan knows how much he loves touring and performing.

Other than short term health issues, Ozzy has been on the road since the original Black Sabbath Shows in late 1969.  He had the cancel the final dates of his last world solo tour a few years ago. That really sucked because we had great seats for that show at the Shoreline in the SF Bay Area.  Stone Sour was the opener and he were actually on the way to show when that news dropped. Still remember the gut punch…

What Ozzy Osbourne fans can hope for is perhaps a residency in Las Vegas that has lots of great venues and removes the demands of touring travel. Rest up Prince of Darkness and let us know when you are ready…we will ALL be there!

This emphasizes the importance for all Superfans to get out there and see the great bands you love anytime you have a chance. You never know when the music will stop…

Do check out our KnuckleBonz Black Sabbath Ltd. Edition Statue set currently in production. The entire original band Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward is in production for a Summer 2023 release.

Randy Rhoads Born on this Day 1956 – Music Misses You…

The immortal Randy Rhoads was born on this day 1956. Music Misses You…

KnuckleBonz was founded in 2003 and our very first collectible statue creation was Randy Rhoads. We wanted to start with an artist that was both a great rock star and personality, as well as a master musician…could we have chose better than Randy Rhoads?

All our work is officially licensed with the artist or band so we have worked with the Rhoads family (Kathy, Kelli and Mrs. Delores Rhoads) to create unique collectibles to celebrate Randy for almost 20 years.

KnuckleBonz has created (3) Randy Rhoads statues from various points of his work with Ozzy Osbourne. But, in 2023 we will be bringing “Randy Freaks” a design from very early in Randy’s career before joining Ozzy. He ruled the Sunset strip and  LA venues with his white custom guitar, classic bow tie and vest. Stay tuned for updates…

The current KnuckleBonz Randy Rhoads statue is part of our RARE Holiday Sale. Check it out here.

Ozzy Bark at the Moon Anniversary – 3D Vinyl Collectible Statue

November 15th, 1983 was the initial release date for Ozzy Osbourne Bark at the Moon. This was the 1st studio release since the tragic lose of Randy Rhoads and the debut of the amazing talent Jake E. Lee on guitar. The record was the 3rd Top 20 USA charting record for Ozzy and removed any doubt as to the band rebounding from loosing Randy.

KnuckleBonz 3D Vinyl Collectible Ltd. Edition Statue design for Bark at the Moon opted for the full statue design over the 12×12 format used on Diary of a Madman. The 3D Vinyl Series created the great album art we all love in 3D statue designs. Check out Ozzy Osbourne and all the 3D Vinyl Collectibles here.

Randy Rhoads White Jackson On the Way to The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Randy Rhoads white Jackson Guitar is now on the way to honor him ahead of his induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this fall. The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place October 30th in Cleveland.

We recently spoke with Kathy Rhoads Dargenzio, Randy’s sister and head of the Randy Rhoads Trust along with Randy’s brother Kelle Rhoads.  We takled about Randy and how happy the family was with our new Randy Rhoads Rock Iconz Statue. During that call she told us one of Randy’s axes would be going to the hall, but they were still going back on forth on which to send. Glad they picked the White Jackson. We think it’s the most striking of Randy’s guitars he played on-stage.

Our 1st project when we founded KnuckleBonz 18 years ago was Randy Rhoads with his white Jackson from the Diary of a Madman era of Ozzy Osbourne. The great folks at Fender/Jackson actually sent us one of the reproductions they had done to help us nail as many details as possible. That was great, with only one problem. When we were getting down to final approvals and production, one of the head guys in the custom shop at Fender called to tell us the guitar we had not an exact match to Randy Rhoad’s original. The big difference was the body. Randy’s White Jackson has a wider body and slightly different shape that the more sleek reproduction. So…that part of the sculpt was a complete re-do….it happens.

The shot in the Blog here is one of the most coveted in the KnuckleBonz studio. It’s from a sound check taken by the great Neil Zlozower. Neil has helped us with photo research over the many years. He was kind enough to sign this print from his original negative…so cool.

Our Randy Rhoads 3 Rock Iconz Statue is super hot and now on Back-Order on it’s way to a SELL OUT. Order Randy Rhoads Rock Iconz Here…No FoMO!

You can always check out all the great KnuckleBonz Collectibles Here….we have our own Hall of Fame going every day!

Rock Iconz Randy Rhoads (1956 to 1982) “Hard to Believe It’s Been 39 Years”

Hard to grasp it’s been 39 years since we lost guitar virtuoso Randy Rhoads. Can still remember the lingering effects of the damage we did from the partying  at the Ozzy Osbourne Dairy of a Madman concert at the Omni in Atlanta March 17th, 1982. We got to see Randy Rhoads ablaze that night. Ozzy lifted Randy high over head, we cheered and head banged with no hint at what was to come. March 18th it was on to Nashville for what would be Randy’s last performance. On March 19th, 1982, he was gone…

Randy Rhoads was the inspiration and the engine for Ozzy’s first 2 solo records, “The Blizzard of Oz,” and “Diary of a Madman.” It’s fair to ask, how would Ozzy’s career would have progressed if Randy was not there for that critical, but all too brief time?

We have included a short video here from the KnuckleBonz® production floor. Our work on the Randy Rhoads 3 Rock Iconz® Ltd. Edition Statues continues and is going well. Still on track for the May/June ship date. This is one of the fastest sellers in the 18 years of KnuckleBonz. Pre-Order now to be part of not more that 3000 Superfans to own this limited edition collectibles. This production is officially licensed with the Rhoads Family and the Randy Rhoads Trust. Ozzy Osbourne with Randy Rhoads on the Blizzard of Oz Tour

Here’s s great shot of Ozzy Osbourne on the tour for the initial solo album “The Blizzard of Oz.” Stage left of course is the great Randy Rhoads ripping his signature polka dot, harpoon-headed V-guitar. Photos of this period that have both Ozzy and Randy in frame are so precious. Ozzy was just beginning to emerge as a major solo headliner on the strength of the Blizzard of Oz and the “Crazy Train single at this point.

We were fortunate to see Randy Rhoads w/ Ozzy live at the 2nd to last show before we lost him in 1982. That show was in Atlanta, GA on the Diary of a Madman Tour.

Production continues on our Randy Rhoads III Rock Iconz Limited Edition statue. All is going well with not major production hiccups or Covid-Distruption so far. Things are still on track for the original May/June ship date. Sales are hot on this one so decently pre-order if you want a chance to this limited edition.
