Dean Guitars Launches Worldwide Guitar Contest; KnuckleBonz Teams Up in Unique Prize Offering

One-of-a-Kind Bronze Dimebag Darrell Statue is Included in the Grand Prize Package

July 2008:  KnuckleBonz® is pleased to announce its participation in the “Get Your Wings Shredder Search” guitar contest hosted by Dean Guitars and the Dimebag Darrell Estate. Guitarists worldwide are invited to enter by simply submitting 60 seconds of their finest shredding moments via online video to www.deanguitars.com/shredder. 

On November 15, 2008 the grand prize will be awarded to the contestant who is voted to have the best shredding ability. The Shredder Search winner receives over $10,000 in prizes, including a USA Dean Razorback guitar as well as a one-of-a-kind bronze coated statue of Dimebag Darrell (by KnuckleBonz) valued at over $1000.

Other prizes include a guitar lesson with a Dean Guitars artist, a trip to Tampa, FL to perform at the 2009 DOA party, and more.  A panel of celebrity judges includes Rita Haney (Dime’s life partner), Vinnie Paul of Pantera and Hellyeah and Leslie West of Mountain just to name a few.

In addition to the bronze coated statue, KnuckleBonz is also providing several of the Dimebag Darrell II Limited Edition Figures to be awarded in Dean Guitar’s monthly give-aways. These figures retail at $115 each and are all hand-painted, limited edition collectibles.  These monthly give-aways are for the voting public and randomly selected shredders. The Bronze Coated Dimebag Darrell Statue Offered in the Grand Prize Package:  This is an artist proof of the KnuckleBonz Dimebag II Figure (also known as the “Far Beyond Driven” statue).  This one-of-a-kind piece is pewter cast and bronze coated. KnuckleBonz creates officially licensed sculpture of honored musicians in the Rock Iconz® Sculpture Series.

More on the Dimebag II Limited Edition Sculpture (included in the monthly prize packs): The Dimebag II figure captures Dime during his “Far Beyond Driven” era. Dime is featured with his iconic tobacco Dean® guitar. The statue stands 9” tall on top a wooden display base. Each sculpture comes with a certificate of authenticity.
